At 12:44 p.m., a woman called from the 900 block of Pampas Drive to report her son took away her car keys. She did not have a valid driver's license and her son did not own the vehicle. Adult Protective Services was notified.
At 1:32 p.m., a woman called from the 900 block of Plaza Drive to report she was being harassed by a person who was posing as an attorney. The person said a client wanted to sue the woman. The caller wanted to press charges for impersonating a lawyer. An officer checked background information and discovered the person is a legitimate attorney. No crime had been committed.
At 2:19 p.m., a caller from a fast food restaurant on the 11000 block of Nevada City Highway reported a man brandishing a handgun. Police contacted the 26-year-old man and cited him on suspicion of brandishing a firearm. He was not booked into jail.
At 6:15 p.m., police cited and released a woman on the 100 block of West McKnight Way on suspicion of shoplifting.
At 7:51 p.m., a woman called from the 200 block of South School Street to report a tree was cut down in her yard and she believed it was political payback for a council meeting last night and a political sign in her yard. Police contacted the woman and took a report for vandalism.
At 9:02 p.m., police arrested a 38-year-old woman on the 600 block of Whiting Street for a local warrant.
At 9:46 p.m., a caller from North Church Street reported a female yellow terrier mix dog named Pariah was missing. Pariah weighs 48 pounds and was wearing a green harness and a silver and leather collar with no tags. Patrol officers and Animal Control were advised.
At 11:42 p.m., police arrested a 22-year-old man on near Highway 49 and the Highway 20 offramp for a local warrant.
Thursday
At 12:05 a.m., a caller from Henderson Street reported four to five juveniles were near the car dealership cussing and making noise. Police contacted several people and cited two juveniles for curfew violations. The juveniles were released to their parents.
At 12:21 a.m., police arrested a 36-year-old person on East Main Street on suspicion of drunken driving.

At 12:10 p.m., a man called from the 14000 block of Winding Creek Court to report ongoing problems with a neighbor juvenile shooting paintballs at his house. The man said he called the juvenile's house and tried to speak to a parent but he was hung up on. A deputy mediated the situation.
At 3:16 p.m., a caller from the 17000 block of Greenhorn Road reported a drunk driver was passed out in a white Jeep. Police arrested the driver on suspicion of drunken driving.

At 1:54 p.m., a caller from a school the 700 block of Hoover Lane reported a child was in the principal's office and was in possession of drugs. The caller said the principal wanted an officer to respond. An officer determined the medication was Excedrin.
