Grass Valley Police Department

Friday

• At 4:55 p.m., a woman from the 200 block of Mill Street reported finding large amounts of marijuana, 12 cans of unopened beer and items missing from her residence when she returned home. The marijuana was booked into evidence for destruction. The woman said she was unaware that juveniles were "partying" at her residence.

• At 10 p.m., a caller from the 600 block of Minnie Street reported the theft of pills from a residence.

• At 10:40 p.m., a caller from the 200 block of Sutton Way reported subjects running from door to door ringing doorbells.



Saturday

• At 9:22 a.m., a caller from the 300 block of Chapel Street reported a manhole cover overflowing in a backyard.

• At 10:48 a.m., a caller from the 2000 block of Nevada City Highway reported the theft of a large television from a business.

• At 11:10 a.m., a caller from the 10000 block of Nevada City Highway reported a vandalized vehicle with broken windows during the night.

• At 1:06 p.m., a caller from 100 block of West Berryhill Drive reported drugs and alcohol in an apartment with a small child. Deputies attempted to make contact, but no one was home.

• At 12:22 p.m., a vehicle was reported off the roadway with what appeared to be passed-out individuals at the corner of Idaho Maryland and East Main Street.

• At 7:07 p.m., someone reported a suspicious house with plastic stapled to one side and a beeping sound coming from the residence since midnight.



Sunday

• At 12 a.m., juveniles in a dark SUV were reported tying a shopping cart to another vehicle.

• At 3:54 a.m., a caller from the 500 block of Blight Road reported a flooded apartment and said the landlord wouldn't do anything about it. Deputies found minor dripping.

• At 9:03 a.m., a caller from the 200 block of North Auburn Street reported her yard was flooded due to water backup form the rain runoff.

• At 9:31 a.m., a caller from 300 block of Clark Street reported her garage was possibly vandalized or hit by a car.

• At 12:13 p.m., a caller from behind the 100 block of Mill Street reported flooding from a backed-up storm drain.

• At 12:30 p.m., a caller from 100 block of Lucas reported seeing a man take off a window screen and enter a house. The subject left approximately five minutes later in a white sedan. Contact was made at the residence, and the subject was cleared.



Nevada City Police Department

Friday

• At 10:59 a.m., a caller from the 150 block of Boulder Street reported a possible mountain lion or bear left large bite marks in a trash can; they did not appear to be the marks of a raccoon. The Nevada City Police Department responded and gave the residents a contact phone number for California Fish and Game.

• At 5:58 p.m., a caller from Broad Street reported a man lying across the sidewalk on the bridge over Highway 49. An ambulance transported the man to the Emergency Room.



Saturday

• At 9:50 a.m., a caller from 200 Broad Street reported a man stalking one of the waitresses at the Classic Cafe. A dishwasher witnessed the man follow the female into an office and block her from leaving.



Nevada County Sheriff's Office

Friday

• At 9:51 a.m., a theft was reported at Nevada Union High School.

• At 10:52 a.m., a caller from the 15000 block of Carrie Drive reported the theft of golf clubs from a garage.

• At 11:02 a.m., a caller from the 20700 block of Post Chaise Circle requested assistance with a possibly violent female who stated she was hiding from her husband, who had taken an unknown amount of narcotic medicines.

• At 2:10 p.m., a 911 caller from the 11000 block of Crystal Wells Road said a man who was there to install a dog fence threatened to hit him if he wasn't paid. The fence installer refused to leave the property because he was intoxicated.

• At 3:51 p.m., a woman from the 14000 block of Auburn Road asked for a deputy to pickup unregistered weapons that belonged to her deceased father because she didn't want them in the house.

• At 4:42 p.m., Grass Valley Police advised they received a 911 call from a woman who said her daughter had attempted to help an injured female in a blue jeep Cherokee who had been beaten by a male driver.

• At 5:38 p.m., a caller from the 11000 block of Crystal Wells Road reported someone purposely drove into his vehicle and then left.

• At 8:21 p.m., a caller from 11000 block of Ridge Road requested extra patrols after receiving information about a potential large fight behind the football field. The caller said his son was threatened by a subject possibly armed with a knife and gun. No weapons were discovered.



Saturday

• At 2:13 a.m., a caller from Wheeler Acres at Rattlesnake reported a man in a white truck slumped over the wheel. When the tow truck driver knocked on the window, the driver took off.

• At 7:16 a.m., a caller from Rough and Ready Highway reported a large tree branch on the roadway that needed removal.

• At 9:28 p.m., a caller from the 17000 block of Penn Valley Drive reported a suspicious vehicle between the bank and realty office. The back windows were down, and wires were hanging out of the stereo.

• At 9:33 p.m., a woman from the 13000 block of Sunshine Valley Road reported someone was in her house with a flashlight. She reported hearing a noise, then started seeing lights. The caller's cousin volunteered to stay the night.

• At 9:43 p.m., a caller from the 10000 block of Arianna Court reported an alarm going off at the neighbor's house and reported seeing someone walking around on the property.



Sunday

• At 3:07 a.m., a caller from the 18000 block of Lake Forest Drive reported an unknown subject was on the caller's deck, then jumped the fence and ran toward the forest. The caller called back to say coyotes "are going crazy" behind the forest.

• At 3:43 a.m., a 911 caller reported hearing gunshots at a neighbor's house. Officers at the scene found an unresponsive woman on the couch breathing and a man unresponsive but breathing in the back room. There was a large amount of alcohol seen inside the residence.
