Grass Valley Police Department

Monday

• At 11:01 a.m., a man from the 100 block of Townsend Street reported he believed neighbor kids shot out his car window. He requested extra patrols due to juvenile problems, drug dealing and traffic problems.

• At 6:03 p.m., a caller from the Kidder Mansion property reported a person had been on the property several times, walking to a tree with a white flag near or on it. The caller believed the person may have been hiding something in or on the tree. Police checked the area and were unable to locate the flag.

• At 6:28 p.m., a woman called from the 300 block of Alta Street to report a car crashed into a road sign and the driver needed medical attention. Police responded and took a report.

• At 9:11 p.m., a caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported a man in his 20s wearing a dark hat and a woman in her 20s wearing white pants just assaulted a person. Police contacted a 31-year-old man and took a report.

• At 9:59 p.m. on Alta Vista Drive, police arrested a 34-year-old man on suspicion of driving with a suspended license who also had a Yuba County warrant. They also arrested a 45-year-old woman on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and a hypodermic needle.



Tuesday

• At 2:17 a.m., police stopped a vehicle on Ridge Road at Alta Street and arrested a 41-year-old man on suspicion of drunken driving and driving with a suspended license.

Monday

• At 11:10 a.m., a caller from Little Deer Creek Road reported juveniles were trying to jumpstart an abandoned vehicle and put gas in it. The caller was concerned they would steal the car. Officers were unable to locate the juveniles.

• At 11:30 a.m., a caller from the 21000 block of Clivus Drive reported a window screen had been cut and the taillights on a trailer had been kicked in.

• At 12:17 p.m., officers arrested a person on Highway 49 near Lime Kiln Road on suspicion of public drunkenness.

• At 1:01 p.m., a man from the 11000 block of Juanita Court reported his 19-year-old son threatened him with two butcher knives. Police contacted everyone involved and no one wanted to press charges. A deputy took a report.

• At 3:03 p.m., a caller from a bank on the 10000 block of Alta Sierra Drive reported a man came into the bank a few months ago to close his account. The man had the same name as another customer who had more money in his account. The bank made a mistake and closed the other person's account and the man took the money. The caller had been trying to get the man to return the money. The man has been cooperative and has said he would return the money, but he has not. An officer contacted the bank manager and left a message for the man to contact the bank.

• At 4:12 p.m., a man from a business on Combie Road reported an assault took place behind a store on Combie Road. He said he confronted a man about theft of tools and the man threw a vehicle door into his knees and pushed him. Officers cited the accused man, and tools were turned over to the alleged victim's brother.

• At 5:28 p.m., a caller from Red Dog Road reported a hit-and-run accident. The caller said the vehicle is back and attempting to hit another vehicle again. Officers contacted the caller and were unable to locate the driver of the other vehicle.



Tuesday

• At 7:25 a.m., a woman from the 20000 block of Poker Flat Road reported an ongoing dispute with her landlady who continued to call and tell her to get out of the house. The caller said the landlady had not begun any legal eviction process. The landlady reportedly said she was going to send people over to move the caller's things out. An officer made contact with the caller.
