At 9:25 a.m., a caller from the 100 block of McNab Circle reported a man was possibly stealing fentanyl. Police took a report for elder abuse. They contacted the 25-year-old suspect and arrested him on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia.
At 4:03 p.m., a man called from an apartment complex on East Berryhill Drive to report a person in the complex was providing drugs to juveniles. The caller said his daughter had just come home and admitted who it was. Police contacted the apartment manager and took an informational report.
At 4:08 a.m., police took a report for an assault that allegedly occurred at a gas station on Plaza Drive earlier in the morning.
At 5:06 p.m., a caller reported a person was loitering in the Fowler Center on Nevada City Highway. The person was holding a sign asking for money.
At 5:17 p.m., a caller from the 100 block of Neal Street reported about 10 juveniles were loitering in front of a business.
At 6:52 p.m., a man called from Colfax Avenue to report a man in his early 20s wearing all black was running down the road holding something wadded up and on fire. When the man was confronted he said "You don't know my name," and kept running. The caller said he did not see any fire in the area. Police checked the area extensively, but they were unable to locate the man in black.
At 7:49 p.m., a woman called from the 200 block of Dorsey Drive to report her 21-year-old daughter was pounding on the door trying to get in. The caller said she had changed the locks. Police contacted the daughter and cited her on suspicion of vandalism.

At 2:16 a.m., a caller reported a man wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and light-colored jeans attempted to enter a parked car on Gray Lane near Le Duc Street. The man left after he was unable to enter the car's locked doors. Police checked the area and were unable to locate the man.
At 8:15 a.m., a caller reported a noninjury accident on Ridge Road at Donald Avenue. Police took a report.

At 12:52 p.m., a deputy met with a tax collector at a business in Grass Valley. The business was being closed down.
At 2:57 p.m., a caller from the 12000 block of Rough and Ready Highway reported a 24-year-old woman was missing. The woman had been seeing a man, but they recently had a bad breakup. The woman had no vehicle and was taking care of her 3-year-old son. A deputy took a report and entered the woman and her son into database of missing persons. Area law enforcement was alerted to be on the lookout for them.
At 2:58 p.m., a caller from the 10000 block of Skyview Drive reported tenants at a property were yelling and threatening to beat up the caller. Deputies contacted both parties and advised everyone to stop yelling.
At 3:11 p.m., a caller reported a boy was possibly abducted from Nevada Union High School by a man. Deputies made contact with Grass Valley police and Child Protective Services, and determined the report was unfounded.
At 3:19 p.m., a caller from the 13000 block of Serpentine Way reported a residential burglary occurred on Jan. 6 or Jan. 7.
At 4:19 p.m., a caller from the 14000 block of Rapp Road reported an older man had been trespassing on the property claiming to be bird watching at the caller's pond. The caller would call again if the man returns.
At 4:33 p.m., a caller from the 11000 block of Forest View Drive reported a snowboard was stolen from an unlocked vehicle. A deputy took a report for petty theft.
At 5:13 p.m., a caller from the 11000 block of Caroline Way to report sexually harassing telephone calls on a cellular phone and a home phone.
At 7:18 p.m., a caller reported a blonde woman carrying a bag was staggering in and out of traffic on Highway 49 at North Bloomfield Road. Deputies were unable to locate the woman.
At 7:21 p.m., a caller from a school on the 24000 block of Highway 49 reported a juvenile in the gym was up 60 feet high and threatening to jump. The juvenile did not jump and was with school staff.

At 8:50 a.m., a caller from the 16000 block of Nomad Way reported an inmate at Wayne Brown Correctional Facility threatened over the telephone on Jan. 6 to "take out" the caller. The inmate is no longer incarcerated. A deputy contacted the caller.
At 10:06 a.m., a burglary alarm sounded at a home on the 11000 block of Alta Sierra Drive. A deputy arrived to find the residence vacant, but food scraps were located. The owners were an hour away. The deputy re-secured the door.
At 10:15 a.m., a caller from You Bet Road reported a group mailbox appeared to have been shot with a shotgun.
