Monday

• At 10:47 a.m. a caller from the 15900 block of Thornberry Way reported the theft of a firearm from their residence.

• At 11:48 a.m. a caller from Union Hill School requested extra patrol on nights and weekends due to recurring damage from skateboarders to school grounds.

• At 3:04 p.m. a caller reported seeing a deer wrapped in a green blanket that smelled deceased on the side of the road on Rough and Ready Highway.

• At 5 p.m. a caller from the 11200 block of Sierra Circle reported a golf cart had been abandoned in her yard for two days and she was concerned it might be stolen.



Tuesday

• At 7:31 a.m. a caller reported seeing a white pickup truck on the 13900 block of Highway 49 with a male and female in the back cutting the head off a deer.

• At 12:17 a.m. a woman called from Connie Drive saying there were lights hovering in the sky, possibly from a UFO, just south of her residence.



Grass Valley

Monday

• At 11:10 a.m. a business on the 1000 block of Sutton Way reported the theft of a card that was used to purchase $2,345 worth of goods from a Home Depot.

• At 5:14 p.m. a caller said juveniles were shooting a pellet gun at another juvenile. Officers were unable to locate them.

• At 6:01 p.m. a caller from the 1900 block of Nevada City Highway reported a tow truck driver was being assaulted by the driver of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.



Tuesday

• At 7:53 a.m. a caller reported seeing a large black bear foaming at the mouth along Ridge Road near the CDF station.

• At 12:11 p.m. a caller said a male and female were hitting each other in front of a white Nissan at the corner East Main Street and Idaho-Maryland Road. Officers were unable to locate them.

Monday

• At 4:29 p.m. a caller said her briefcase was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked on Broad Street near Calanan Park.
