Self-esteem using Buddhist meditation class offered

Print Comment
Local psychotherapists Ginger Konvalin and Lea Barrow will conduct a weekend course on Sept. 16 and 17 for self-esteem enhancement using Buddhist meditation techniques.

The course will teach how to cope with unworthiness, physical or emotional pain, desire, anger, fear and other negative habits of the mind.

Konvalin and Barrow have based the course on the book, “Radical acceptance: Embracing life with the heart of a Buddha,” by Tara Brach, Ph.D. Participants are encouraged to read the book before attending the class. The book will be available at a discount for class participants at Harmony Books in Nevada City.

The course, admitting 25 participants only, will take place at Stillpoint Studios, 300 Sierra College Drive, Suite 155, Grass Valley. The cost to attend the course is $200.
For more information, call Lea Barrow at 575-5165.
