Police blotter

Grass Valley Police Department

Friday

• At 11:20 a.m. in a parking lot on West McKnight Way, a white Jeep Cherokee hit a blue sedan, causing a woman standing behind the sedan to fall to the ground. The woman was transported to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital; her condition could not be determined.

• At 12:23 p.m., police stopped a man who was parked in a restaurant parking lot on Nevada City Highway and told him to sober up before driving again. The man drove off in a tan Ford and police arrested and booked him into Wayne Brown Correctional Facility on suspicion of drunken driving.

• At 4:35 p.m., a caller from the 500 block of Whiting Street reported there were people in the pool having sex. An officer contacted all parties.

• At 6:17 p.m., a woman from the 600 block of Packard Drive reported she and her family were picnicking under a tent when an arrow tore through the canvass and landed on the table. No one was injured.

Saturday

• At 1:51 a.m., police arrested two men in their 30s on Dorsey Drive and booked them, one on suspicion of drunken driving and the other on suspicion of disorderly conduct and having marijuana for sale.

• At 2:40 a.m., a caller from the 200 block of Dorsey Drive reported a man knocking on the door and trying the door knob. Police arrested and booked a 19-year-old man on suspicion of public drunkenness.

• At 11:35 p.m., police contacted two girls found loitering in a parking lot on the 400 block of Henderson Street and gave them a ride home.



Sunday

• At 12:53 a.m., a caller from the 200 block of Washington Street reported the back door of the house had been kicked in and the dog was missing.

• At 7:49 a.m., a person brought a found wallet to the police station downtown. The wallet contained a recommendation for medical marijuana.

• At 12:33 p.m., a woman from Combie Road reported a dog attacked her son.

• At 4:23 p.m., a man reported the theft of a cellular telephone while camping off Highway 20.

• At 4:44 p.m., a caller from the 11000 block of McCourtney Road asked for medical assistance after someone took the drug Ecstasy.

• At 4:51 p.m., a caller from Old Downieville Highway reported two teenagers riding a yellow all-terrain vehicle at excessive speed on the roadway. The California Highway Patrol was notified.



Sunday

• At 3 a.m., a caller from George Way reported dogs had been barking at a neighbor's house for three hours and was worried something might be wrong. A deputy found the dogs were barking at the wind.

• At 5:31 a.m., a caller from the 16000 block of Rough and Ready Highway reported a man was prowling and peeping through windows and that this had been happening for three weeks.

• At 7:38 a.m., a man from the 11000 block of Snowline Road reported the possible theft of mail from his mailbox.

• At 7:30 p.m., a woman reported her car had been stolen from Commercial Street, where she last saw it at 1 a.m. Saturday. A description of the vehicle was not available.



Sunday

• At 1:46 a.m., a man was reportedly passed out on the ground on the 200 block of Broad Street. Other people helped him up and he took a cab home.
