Dorothy Weight

Memorial services for Dorothy Weight of North Carolina will be conducted. Her cremated ashes will be scattered.

Mrs. Weight died Friday, July 14, at Rutherfordton, N.C. She was 73.

She was born Feb. 10, 1933, in Brooklyn, N.Y. She attended school in New York City. She was a previous resident of Nevada County for 30 years. She was a school bus driver for Durham Transportation. She was a member of the German Shepherd Dog Club of America, and enjoyed breeding and showing German Shepherd dogs.

She is survived by her husband, Earnie Weight of North Carolina; sons Bob Rogers of Nevada City, Rick Rogers of Colorado and, Bill Weight of North Carolina; and numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother.
