Police Department

Tuesday

• At 3:02 p.m., a man called from Richardson Street to report he lost his cell phone and now a man is using it. The caller would like an officer to contact the man to get him to return it. Police attempted contact with the man and would follow up again.

• At 4:07 p.m., police arrested a 21-year-old man on Mill Street for two local warrants.

• At 11:24 p.m., police alerted area law enforcement to be on the lookout for a 29-year-old man in a rental car he had not returned to the rental car company.



Wednesday

• At 12:58 a.m., a caller reported people were yelling and screaming and disturbing the peace on the 300 block of Pleasant Street. Police cited a 23-year-old man for disturbing the peace.

• At 9:53 a.m., police alerted area law enforcement to be on the lookout for a juvenile wanted for burglary and vandalism.



Nevada County

Sheriff's Office

Tuesday

• At 3:43 p.m., a woman called to report her house on the 12000 block of Flying T Road was burglarized two weeks ago. a commercial weedeater and two chainsaws were taken.

• At 4:26 p.m., a man called from the 14000 block of Stagecoach Way to report his neighbor was stealing his chickens. The chickens were returned to their owner and Animal Control was notified.

• At 4:34 p.m., a caller from the 11000 block of Alpine Lane reported neighbors were in a fight. A man had pinned a female on the ground and she was screaming. Deputies served an emergency protective order to the man.



Wednesday

• At 8:27 a.m., a woman called from the 15000 block of Lewis Road to report her neighbor came over to her house and said her boyfriend strangled her and broke her finger. Deputies arrested a 40-year-old man for inflicting corporal injury on a cohabitant and damaging a telephone line.
