At 5:05 p.m., a woman reported that a "scruffy" man grabbed her purse out of her shopping cart in the parking lot of a drug store on Sutton Way while she was putting her dog in her car. Police would follow up.
At 11:17 p.m., a caller reported several fires set on Highway 20 at the Brighton Street overcross. Police responded and found two Molotov cocktails. Police took a report.

At 1:44 a.m., police arrested an 18-year-old man on Sutton Way and Dorsey Drive for being drunk in public.
At 1:52 a.m., police arrested a 33-year-old woman at a movie theater for being drunk in public.
At 2:22 a.m., police arrested a 47-year-old man and a 24-year-old man on Mill Street in front of a car dealership for being drunk in public.
At 2:49 a.m., police arrested a 49-year-old man behind a downtown bar for a warrant.
At 8:26 a.m., a caller from the 300 block of Alta Drive reported a prowler with a baseball bat came in through an unlocked sliding glass door, never said anything, then left. Police took a report.
At 1:35 p.m., a woman called from the 40 block of Wendy Circle to report her purse was stolen by someone who may have entered her home through a sliding glass door.
At 10:20 p.m., police arrested a 30-year-old woman on South Church Street for drunken driving.

At 12:01 a.m., a man called from the 100 block of Townsend Street to report his son was jumped in a bowling alley parking lot. Police cited a juvenile for assault.

At 12:12 p.m., a caller from the 10000 block of Shekinah Hill Road reported someone used a pickax to remove speed bumps from the roadway on an easement between properties.
At 3:12 p.m., a woman called from Greenhorn Road at Brunswick Road to report she found people in her vehicle attempting to remove the radio. The California Highway Patrol took an incident report.
At 6:28 p.m., more than 50 swallows were trapped in netting under the eaves on a building on the 900 block of Maidu Avenue. The birds figured out how to escape on their own.
At 7:06 p.m., a caller from the 23000 block of Wayfarer Court reported that someone threatened children with a mallet. Deputies took a report for failing to comply with a court order.
At 10:30 p.m., a caller from Horton Street reported a 16-year-old boy ran away from home and was missing.

At 2:55 a.m., a caller from Greenhorn Road at Brunswick Road reported a severed human head was hanging from wire above the intersection. Deputies responded and discovered it was a prank. The head was from a mannequin.
At 6:15 a.m., a woman called from the 14000 block of Star Drive to report a man was threatening to assault her and told her he would kill her if she reported the threats to law enforcement. He would not leave and was threatening to damage her property. Deputies arrested the man on a local warrant.
At 1:43 p.m., a caller reported a missing 33-year-old man last seen in the Smartville area April 10. He had not been in contact with his family or parole officer since mid-March.
At 2:33 p.m., a woman called from the 15000 block of Perimeter Road to report her boyfriend busted out the windows of her truck with a hammer.
At 4:33 p.m., a man called from the 20000 block of Salt Creek Road to report a screwdriver had been driven through his radiator sometime last night. Police took a report for vandalism.
At 7:43 p.m., a woman called to report her husband was holding her arms and not letting her out of the bedroom. She said she had been sick in bed for two days. She said she was locked in the bedroom. Deputies responded and the woman was OK.

At 1:52 a.m., deputies arrested a 25-year-old woman on the 11000 block of Nevada City Highway for drunken driving.
At 7:33 a.m., a caller from a school on the 10000 block of Squirrel Creek Road reported several windows were broken and a fire extinguisher was used inside a classroom. Deputies took a report for vandalism.
