Christy Taylor and Matthew Ensworth, both of Yuba City, were married June 11, 2005, at the Northern Queen Inn Gardens. The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. Charles Grande. Approximately 150 guests attended the wedding and reception at Miners Foundry.

The bride is the daughter of John and Julie Taylor of Nevada City. She is a graduate of Nevada Union High School and of Sierra College.

The groom is the son of Jerry and Barbara Ensworth of Chico and Ann and Tom Elnes of Duluth, Minn. He is a graduate of California State University, Chico, with a degree in business administration. He is a lumber trader for Unity Forest Products in Yuba City.

The bride wore a military pin from her late grandfather, and carried a spring bouquet by Rosanne Palmer.

The matron of honor was Jennifer Mendoza of Vacaville.

The bridesmaids were Heidi Kirkpatrick of Meadow Vista, Tori Kelly of Nevada City and Andra Eddy of Vacaville.

The flower girls were Jordyn Mendoza, age 3, of Vacaville, and the bride's niece, Hanna Taylor, 8, of Nevada City.

The ring bearer was the bride's nephew, A.J. Taylor, 12, of Nevada City.

The best man was Forrest Ensworth, the groom's brother, of Chico.

The groomsmen were Mike Barrow of Portland, Ore., Jon Mygrant of Redding and Josh Wilson of Walnut Creek.

Harpist Kurtis Bershaw played during the ceremony.

Derek Taylor, the bride's brother, and Jerry Ensworth, the groom's father, delivered readings during the ceremony.

Special guests included Debbie and Ethan Hoppin of Switzerland.

The photographer was Chris Harada.

The couple honeymooned in Hawaii.

They live in Yuba City.
