At 12:09 p.m., a woman called saying that a man driving a tan Ford pickup had shaken his fist at her about a parking spot in the Union Square Parking lot.
At 4:08 p.m., a Grass Valley man was booked on an outstanding warrant on the 400 block of Chapel St.
At 4:49 p.m., police responded to a call that a man was assaulting a woman on the 100 block of W. Berryhill Drive, but no charges were filed.
At 5:30 p.m., three teenagers dressed in black - two girls and one boy - were seen lighting newspaper stands on fire on the 500 block of Henderson St. They left in a maroon Subaru before police arrived, and negligible damage was found.
At 5:54 p.m., a Grass Valley man was booked on an outstanding warrant on Bennett St.
At 9:52 p.m., domestic violence was reported on the 400 block of Maryland Drive. The parties involved had separated by the time police arrived and no charges were filed.

At 5:43 a.m., a man was reported entering a residence on the 300 block of North School Street, taking money, then leaving through a back door.
At 6:41 a.m., a GMC Jimmy rolled over in La Barr Meadows, one half-mile south of McKnight Way. Kilroy's Towing was assigned to the accident.
At 8 a.m., a rock was thrown through the front window of a store on the 100 block of Idaho-Maryland Road.
At 10:54 p.m., an intoxicated young male illegally entered a house on the 600 block of Whiting Street and was booked into juvenile hall.
At 11:52 p.m., several juveniles were seen vandalizing a residence with toilet paper on the 100 block of Kathleen Way.

At 8:59 p.m. a bartender on the 29000 block of Hwy. 49 reported she was attacked and grabbed by the hair. The suspect left before deputies arrived, and the sheriff's office is following up.
At 9:53 p.m. there a domestic violence call on the 200 block of Brock Rd. Nevada City police are still investigating.

At approximately 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Nevada City and Nevada County consolidated firefighters responded to smoke rising from the courthouse in Nevada City. The smoke was believed to be coming from a malfunctioning heating unit.
