Erica Eileen Moon of Nevada City and Christopher Dan Salter of Grass Valley were married Sept. 24 at the home of the bride's aunt and uncle, Mike and Kathy Piper. The ceremony was officiated by the bride's grandfather, Jerry Tennell. Approximately 200 guests attended the wedding and reception. Special guests included the bride's great-grandmother.
The bride is the daughter of Jim and Cindy Moon of Nevada City. She is a graduate of Nevada Union High School, and is a travel agent with AAA.
The bridegroom, also an NU graduate, is the son of Tim and Marcia Salter of Grass Valley. He is a graduate of Butte College with a degree in fire science. He works for Western ECI.
The bride wore a Maggie Sottero white strapless gown, and carried her great-grandmother's handkerchief and a borrowed sixpence. The bridal flowers were luau-style orchids with shells.
The maid of honor was the bride's sister, Suzanne Moon.
The bridesmaids were Amanda Apple of Nevada City, and the bride's cousins, Elizabeth Scales of Nevada City and Jennifer Piper of Grass Valley.
The flower girl was Sophie Smith, age 2, of Colfax.
The ring bearers were Weston and Wyatt Smith, age 2, of Colfax.
The groomsmen were Travis Apple of Nevada City, and the bride's brothers, Andrew Moon and Skyler Moon, both of Nevada City.
The guest book attendant was Johannah Price.
The photographer was Robert Huggins of SLD Photography, Spokane, Wash.
The wedding cake was by Donna Imsand, The Cake Artist.
The couple will honeymoon on Kauai in February.
They live in Nevada City.
