Sunday

• At 10:05 a.m., a caller from the 200 block of Dorsey Drive reported several residents had to ask Jehovah's Witnesses to leave. They were gone when officers arrived.

• At 12:17 p.m., a caller reported a black Cadillac Escalade went over the double yellow lines several times on northbound Highway 49 past Gold Flat Road.

• At 2:04 p.m., a caller from Mohawk Street reported extra one-way signs are needed on Mohawk Street because people are missing the posted signs as they cut through a parking lot. This happens quite frequently.

• At 3:06 p.m., a 34-year-old woman was arrested for a warrant.

• At 3:08 p.m., a caller from the 1000 block of Plaza Drive reported a man with a beard and missing front teeth was spitting on cars. Police checked the area and the man was gone.

• At 3:24 p.m., a caller from the 400 block of Brunswick Road reported a man with a beard was ranting and raving. Police made contact with the man and handled the situation.

• At 5:25 p.m., a caller reported shoplifting on the 600 block of Freeman Lane. Police arrested a 42-year-old man for probation violation.

• At 7:49 p.m., a caller from the 200 block of Sutton Way reported a vehicle collided with a post. Police took an accident report.

• At 8:39 p.m., police arrested a 21-year-old man for a warrant at Dow Alexander Park.

• At 10:52 p.m., a caller from Cypress Hill Street at Arcadia Street reported plastic was stretched across the roadway. Police removed the plastic.



Monday

• At 12:06 a.m., a 33-year-old woman was arrested for a warrant at Mill Street at West Main Street.

• At 7:46 a.m., a caller from the 200 block of Sutton Way reported a physical domestic dispute. Police made contact with both involved parties and took a report.



Nevada CountySheriff's Office

Sunday

• At 11:40 a.m., a caller from West Drive reported a pit bull was running in and out of the roadway on Rough and Ready Highway.

• At 11:57 a.m., a man called from Red Dog Road at Tumbling Creek to report six off-road vehicles on private property were tearing up the roadways. The property owner told deputies the vehicles were allowed to be parked there. Juveniles who were riding them were advised not to ride quads on the roadways. A parent picked them up. The man called again to report seeing more than 1,000 people by the creek and traffic was backed up on Red Dog Road. The CHP sent two cars to the area for extra patrol.

• At 12:19 p.m, a caller reported a neighbor was shooting an air soft gun toward the residence. Deputies made contact.

• At 12:23 p.m., a caller from Cottage Hill School on the 22000 block of Kingston Lane reported spray paint graffiti all over school grounds. Deputies took a report.

• At 1:42 p.m., a caller from the 13000 block of Highway 49 reported a person in a red Jeep was trying to deal drugs to maids at a hotel. Deputies were unable to locate the Jeep on arrival.

• At 2:03 p.m., deputies arrested a 20-year-old Nevada City woman for battery on a police officer at a gas station on the 12000 block of Nevada City Highway. Bail was set at $10,000.

• At 4:23 p.m., a caller reported a cow on the wrong side of the fence at Highway 49 and Carriage Road. A CHP officer secured the cow inside the fence.



Monday

• At 9:07 a.m., a woman called from the 14000 block of Dalmation Drive to report a laptop and keys were stolen from her unlocked vehicle in her driveway.

• At 10:44 a.m., a caller from the 11000 block of Butternut Way to report the theft of fenders from a truck parked on the property.

Monday

• At 10:22 a.m., a woman called from the 300 block of Downieville Highway to report a $5,000 computer was taken from her vehicle.
