Jerry and Marie Hund of Grass Valley celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary recently. They were married Nov. 26, 1955 in Anaheim.

The couple was surprised last July with an anniversary party thrown by their family and closest friends. In November, they celebrated privately with a second honeymoon to Maui.

The Hunds' children are: Peter Hund of Modesto, Mark Hund of Nevada City, Steven Hund of Sacramento, Gayle Bremer of Severna Park, Md., Mary Patterson of Sacramento, Tony Hund of Livermore and Becky Hund of Antioch. There are 10 grandchildren.

Mr. Hund is the former Nevada County Superintendent of Schools, now retired. His current interests include travel and gardening.

Mrs. Hund is a retired registered nurse. Her current interests include travel and work at St. Patrick's Church Library.

The Hunds have lived in Nevada County for 38 years.
