Laurie Chamberlain, a breast-feeding counselor, will be teaching a free two-hour prenatal breastfeeding class at 7 p.m. on Dec. 1 at Future Generations in downtown Grass Valley.

Refreshments will be provided and new parents are welcome to attend and learn ways to become more confident and excited about breastfeeding. For more information or to register, e-mail LaurieChamberlin @comcast.net or call 477-5442.

A Nevada City jewelry company, Madison Designs Jewelry, which is owned by designer Mary Anne Davis, has been recently selected to have several pieces featured in the current holiday edition of the Wine Enthusiast's catalog.

The handmade jewelry includes wine-themed earrings, necklace and lapel pin made of sterling silver, freshwater pearls and pewter grape clusters. Lynnette's Tailor Shop opened at its new Grass Valley location Nov. 15. The shop is owned by Nevada City resident, Lynnette Lewis and is now located at 162 S. Auburn St. The shop offers tailoring services and tuxedo rentals.

Cinderella's Costume Shop and Formal Wear is moving from its downtown Grass Valley location to a new store at 734 East Main St. Cinderella's features costumes, formal gowns, business suits, tuxedos, wedding dresses, and accessories.

Customers may also place special orders from dozens of available catalogs. The shop is owned by Cindi Anderson and has been in operation since 1989. A 10 percent discount is also offered to all school groups. Business hours are Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, call the shop at 273-9250.
