Club brief: Mother Lode Toastmasters

Print Comment
On Oct. 24, Max Kane gave a wonderful speech titled "Unique and Hand Made," where he took us on the journey that he and his wife took in Mexico recently. He was voted first prize for this impressive example on how to "Get Comfortable with Visual Aids."

Joyce Peterman, our club president, won first place when she was put on the spot in Table Topics.

Marjorie Quist was voted best evaluator, bringing to light the details of the excellent speech that she reviewed.

For a friendly and supportive atmosphere in which to improve your communication and leadership skills, visit the next Mother Lode Toastmasters meeting, which is open to the public, on Mondays at 6:45 p.m. at 640 East Main St., Grass Valley (behind Valet Cleaners). For more information, call Linda at 273-9607 or Richard at 265-9419.
