Police blotter

Nevada County Sheriff's Office

Friday

• At 4:02 p.m., a caller from the 11700 block of Ridge Road outside of Grass Valley reported the theft of a backpack with a phone and an Apple iPod in it.

• A caller reported at 6:07 p.m. from the 23700 block of Fagerlie Road in south Nevada County that he got into a fight with his neighbor, who has threatened to kill him before. The caller said the suspect tried to stab him with a beer bottle and stole his phone from his truck, but not before he said he would be back to "get him." The suspect was last seen walking up Streeter Road very drunk.

• A man walked into the Rough & Ready Store at 8:47 p.m. and asked for marijuana. He and another man then drove around a nearby mobile home park, where they were apprehended by deputies. The men were cited for misdemeanor possession of marijuana and a pipe.

• A man called from the 300 block of Adams Street in Nevada City and reported seeing a bear in the roadway at 10:36 p.m. on Nile Street.

Saturday

• A 1:05 p.m. caller from the 10700 block of School Street in North San Juan said a man entered his yard and got into a fight with his three sons. One of the sons hit the man with a hammer, and he left. Deputies were unable to locate the man and were urged to proceed with caution because he is known to be anti-law enforcement.

• A caller reported at 2:51 p.m. that his silver 2001 Toyota was stolen from the parking lot behind the National Hotel in Nevada City the night before.

• A 5:35 p.m. caller from the 200 block of Sacramento Street in Nevada City reported the theft of her car stereo, some CDs and vehicle registration.

• A woman from the 200 block of York Street in Nevada City reported at 8:31 p.m. that someone was looking in her window.

• A be-on-the-lookout bulletin was put over the airwaves at 10:50 p.m. after a report that a young man had brandished a gun at the scene of a fight on Sutton Way.

Sunday

• A caller from the 11700 block of Colfax Highway reported at 9:11 a.m. that a neighbor was shooting an automatic weapon in Empire Mine State Park. Deputies were unable to locate any such person.

Friday

• A caller reported at 4:54 p.m. from the 1400 block of Segeworth Way that he needed assistance with deer mating in a nearby parking lot.

Saturday

• A person walked into police headquarters at 12:12 p.m. to report that his or her vehicle had been stolen.

• A caller at 8:09 p.m. from the 500 block of Butler Street reported a burglary to his or her residence that occurred some time that day.

Sunday

• A woman called from the 100 block of Auburn Street to report her husband had been assaulted by four men in the St. Patrick's Church parking lot.
