Nevada City Police Department

<B>Wednesday</B>

• At 4:54 p.m., a caller from a local day-care center reported a man who smelled of drugs had just picked up his son.

Grass Valley Police Department

<B>Wednesday</B>

• At 3:11 p.m., a caller from the 100 block of Berryhill Drive reported mail had been stolen.

• At 5:39, a caller reported the theft of a purse at Prosperity Lanes on Henderson Street.

• At 6:40 p.m., a vehicle hit a pedestrian on South Auburn at East Main streets, briefly blocking the intersection. Ashley James was taken to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital emergency room, but refused treatment. At 10:50 p.m., an officer followed up with her at her home, and she again refused medical treatment.



<B>Thursday</B>

• At 8:02 a.m., a caller from 16 Wendy Circle reported the registration sticker had been stolen off of a vehicle's license plate. Police found the sticker had been only damaged.

At 11:06 p.m., a disabled delivery truck at East Main and South Auburn streets created a traffic hazard. It was removed from the roadway.

• At 1:37 p.m., a 47-year-old woman was cited and released for shoplifting at the Kmart Store on West McKnight Way.

• At 1:53 p.m., a 55-year-old man who has had repeated run-ins with police, including urinating on City Hall, was arrested for shoplifting at the Grocery Outlet on Sutton Way. He was booked into Wayne Brown Correctional Facility on suspicion of robbery.

• At 3:30 p.m., a caller from the 200 block of Sutton Way reported finding a bag containing possible drugs. Police picked up the bag to make a report.

Nevada County Sheriff's Office

<B>Wednesday</B>

• At 2:12 p.m., the California Department of Fish and Game reported two poachers on Dog Bar Road in the area of Lorie Drive and Mount Olive Road. The poachers were seen driving a new Ford diesel pickup, and one had shot a deer with a bow and arrow from the truck.

• At 4:11 p.m., a caller from the 24200 block of Ash Court reported a burglary allegedly by a neighbor a day earlier.

• At 6:13 p.m., a caller from the 300 block of Quail Lane reported vandalism to the telephone lines.

• At 7:55 p.m., a caller from the 10300 block of Granholm Lane reported seeing a man, who had been drinking, running down Gold Flat Road with a steak knife.
