Grass Valley Police Department

<B>Sunday</B>

• At 3:42 p.m., a caller from the Kmart on West McKnight Way reported a suspected shoplifter in custody who reportedly was combative. Police arrested a 16-year-old girl on suspicion of shoplifting and probation violation.

• At 6:18 p.m., a fight between two boys was reported at the skate park at Condon Park. Police contacted the boys, who said they were just horsing around.

• At 8:15 p.m., police advised several people with dogs at Memorial Park that the park is closed after dark and that no dogs are allowed there.

• At 9:11 p.m., police responded to a report from the 200 block of Dorsey Drive of two children in the back seat of a vehicle in front of an apartment for the previous hour. The children's father told police the youngsters wanted to stay in the vehicle, and he agreed to bring them in soon.

• At 11:01 p.m., a caller from the 300 block of South Church Street reported two men fighting on the front lawn. Police arrested two men on suspicion of public drunkenness.



<B>Monday</B>

• At 10:19 a.m., a caller asked for extra morning patrols in the area of Hennessy School on South Auburn Street due to drivers who continued to ignore the directions of school crossing guards.

• At 11:42 a.m., a caller from the 500 block of Delia Court reported a fraudulent transaction for real estate in Florida involving $9,250 in cash on the eBay.com auction Web site.

Nevada County Sheriff's Office

<B>Sunday</B>

• At 7:50 p.m., a caller from the 16900 block of Hangtree Road reported a possible burglary at her house. A few minutes later, the caller told authorities her neighbor had been playing a prank.

• At 9:21 p.m., a caller from the 29400 block of Highway 49 reported naked women were running around in the streets, and cars had almost hit them a couple of times. Deputies arrested a 26-year-old North San Juan woman and booked her into Wayne Brown Correctional Facility on suspicion of public drunkenness.

• At 10:23 p.m., a caller from the 18000 block of Bowman Road reported a burglary earlier in the day in which two chain saws, a charger and a cordless drill were stolen.

• At 10:48 p.m., a woman from the 15800 block of Coon Hollow Court reported her husband had kicked her and that he had guns, but he had made no reference to using them. Deputies reported the two had stopped fighting.



<B>Monday</B>

• At 12:50 p.m., a man from Meadow Drive asked for extra patrols in the area due to "numerous arrests involving drug activity in the area."

• At 1:16 p.m., a caller from the 11700 block of Marjon Drive reported her gate had been smashed. Deputies determined a deer had run through the gate.

Nevada City Police Department

<B>Monday</B>

• At 8:42 a.m., a caller from Seven Hills School on Hoover Lane reported several broken windows in one of the rooms.

Fire calls

<B>Monday</B>

• At 6:59 a.m., a fire was reported in the large metal garbage bin at the Community/Senior Center on McCourtney Road. Grass Valley Fire Department's Station No. 1 responded and doused the blaze, a California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection dispatcher said.
