Three members of western Nevada County's Sierra Express cycling and mountain bike racing team took first place in their respective divisions and Nevada City's own Jason Moeschler finished ninth in the pro category of the Team Big Bear Mountain Bike Race at Northstar at Tahoe on July 10.

Debra Little won the Women's Expert division, while Dora Weir took first place in the Women's Sport division and John Seivert was the winner in the Men's Beginner division.

Bob Weir finished second in the Men's Sport class and Matt Wittler finished 14th in the Men's Expert category.

Fisher wins Prairie City series

Hyland Fisher took first place in the Men's Sport (25-34) category in the 10-race Prairie City Mountain Bike Race Series, while two other members of the the Xtreme Outfitters Racing team also earned podium spots.

Eddie Cruz was the second-place finisher in the season standings for the Men's Sport (45-and-over) division, while Troy Groves took third place in the 25-34 year-old division.
