Robyn Elizabeth Platner of Fullerton and James Stephen Sanders Jr. of Newport Beach were married March 25 at Calvary Bible Church. The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. Doug McMasters.

Approximately 200 guests attended the ceremony and dinner reception at the Alta Sierra County Club.

Robyn, a Nevada Union High School graduate, is the daughter of Tim and Karen Platner of Grass Valley. She is a student at California State University, Long Beach.

James is the son of Jim and Robin Sanders of Newport Beach and Robyn and Dave Paynter of Yorba Linda. He is a graduate of Biola University, and works at Paynter Realty and Investments.

The bride wore a Maggie Sottero, white satin, strapless gown with pleated ruffles. A hand-beaded headpiece secured the tulle bridal veil, which was handmade by the bride's mother. Heirloom sapphire and pearl earrings, and a silver and crystal locket from the groom, completed the ensemble. She carried a bouquet of roses.

The maid of honor was Gayle Freilich of Grass Valley.

The bridesmaids were Callie Wagner, Jen Van Son and Theresa Strohbin, all of Grass Valley; Amy MacDonald of Davis; and the bride's sister-in-law, Kristie Platner of Tacoma, Wash.

The best man was Josh Finrow of La Mirada.

The groomsmen were Ryan Bestelmeyer and Sean Moule, both of Long Beach; Travis Uhl and Will McRory, both of Newport Beach; and Mike McCann of La Mirada.

Music was provided by vocalist Ryan Bestelmeyer of Grass Valley.

The Eiffel Tower wedding cake was made by the chef at Alta Sierra Country Club.

The guestbook attendants were the groom's sisters, Katherine and Kristina Sanders.

Special guests included Al and Margaret Sanders, the groom's grandparents, of Newport Beach.

The photographer was Michelle Young of Nevada City Photography.

The couple lives in Fullerton.
