Well help the bride to be the most radiant she can be on her wedding day. - Colleen Lunsford, owner

Planning a wedding can be hectic and stressful. There are so many details to coordinate, sometimes at the last minute. But you want to look and feel your best on your wedding day. Youll be looking at the photos and remembering for years to come, so part of your wedding planning should be to take care of yourself so that you can be gorgeous on your big day.
Colleen Lunsford, owner of Wolf Mountain Day Spa in Alta Sierra, voted Best Day Spa of Nevada County in 2002, recommends a countdown to beauty timeline that will guarantee that "you glow from head to toe on your wedding day," as she put it.
"The bride to be should begin as early as possible to pamper her skin," Lunsford said. "If her skin doesnt look good, her make-up wont look good," she said.
So Lunsford recommends a routine of monthly facials a minimum of four months before the wedding. "Using quality products and having professional skin care will make a huge difference in how your skin looks," she said. She can also do back treatments for those who are wearing bare wedding dresses and want their skin to be clear and lovely.
One month before the wedding, Lunsford does the brides makeup. "That way, the day of the wedding, were clear what we are doing. By doing it ahead, she has time to live with it, to make sure its right for her," she said. Lunsford uses Jane Iredale cosmetics and feels they are the best quality available.
The week before the wedding, the bride should schedule a spa day to relax and de-stress. One popular package, the Scrub, Tub and Rub combines a body scrub or exfoliation, a hydrotherapy seaweed bath and a Swedish massage. Lunsford also offers lash and brow tinting and waxing.
Or how about the Home by the Sea package? It begins with an aromatic marine pumice scrub, followed by a hydrating seaweed body mask. Then you soak in a specialized seaweed Jacuzzi bath in an aromatherapy scented, candle-lit room with soothing ocean sounds. The final touch is a hydrating aromatherapy facial.

The day spa offers services to take care of the groom too. How about a relaxing massage with essential oils to help him to relax? They also have skin care for men. "For men who work outside, their skin can become rough and dull. We can help him to look his best," Lunsford said.
Lunsford has been a licensed aesthetician since 1987 and a CMT since 1989. She began her first business, Simply ahhh in 1990, which evolved into Wolf Mountain in 2000. The spa has four treatment rooms for seaweed body wraps, body exfoliations, a variety of massages and facials in addition to a European steam shower and hydrotherapy tub. She features Yonka Paris skin products as well as SkinCeuticals and a variety of body products and candles to continue the spa experience at home.
Both the hydrotherapy tub and steam shower fit two easily and a spa package could make a romantic wedding gift for the newlyweds to enjoy together. The spa also offers many gift ideas for the wedding party and the wedding couple.
"Were unique to Nevada County. Were one of the few spas in the country accredited with the Day Spa association and have a great staff ready to serve you. So stop and put yourself in our care for a few hours. After taking care of so many things to get ready for the wedding, it will be time to let us take care of you," Lunsford said.
