Lawrence Rotarius
Memorial services for Lawrence Joseph Rotarius of Penn Valley will be conducted at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 17645 Penn Valley Drive in Penn Valley.
Mr. Rotarius died Thursday, Aug. 5, at home. He was 82.
He was born Nov. 4, 1921, in Detroit, Mich., to Rudy and Dorothy Rotarius. He was a carpenter, and received his 60-year pin. His career started in World War II while serving in the U.S. Navy Seabees along the English Coast, rebuilding landing craft. He also built four of the homes he lived in since 1950. He enjoyed collecting and restoring antique cars. He and his wife, Margaret, have lived in Penn Valley for 60 years.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Rotarius of Penn Valley; son and daughter-in-law Ron and Dee Rotarius of Penn Valley; daughters and sons-in-law Pam and Ed Fagan, and Denise and Don Mayes all of Penn Valley; nine grandchildren and five-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Doug Rotarius in 1994.
