A faulty wall heater exploded in a Camptonville home Thursday afternoon, injuring the man working on it.
Camptonville firefighters responded to the call at about 1:37 p.m., said Assistant Fire Chief Chris Dozier.
The man was working on the heater and turned on the propane, which was leaking, Dozier said. When he tried to light the heater, the fumes ignited.
Firefighters from North San Juan, Tahoe National Forest and Pike also responded to the duplex blaze.
The man was transported to Rideout Hospital with arm burns, Dozier said. One side of the duplex was saved, he added.
