Two Nevada City residents have organized a town hall meeting to air complaints about the police department.
Darin Barry and Gordon Landon are inviting residents who believe they “have a criminal or civil actionable complaint against the department or an officer.”
The free gathering is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10, at the Madelyn Helling Library Community Room, Nevada City.
Fliers posted around town announce: “This is a ... lay persons- and victims-only meeting” to gather information “for the purpose of action assessment. No law enforcement or city officials have been invited to attend.”
