Becky Baker of Grass Valley and Brandon Huss, a former Grass Valley resident, have joined the Horizon West Meadow View skilled nursing staff of the facility in Grass Valley on Dorsey Drive.

Baker has assumed the duties of admissions coordinator, while Huss has been named payroll supervisor of the 95-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility. Baker's duties include being responsible for communication between the facility and medical providers in the Grass Valley community.

“My job is to let everyone know about all the services we provide here at Meadow View,” Baker said. “I interface with our residents and their families and am the go-to person for the disbursement of all the information our prospective residents need to know.”

Prior to joining Horizon West, Baker was employed with a commercial printing company in Minnesota.

“I am thrilled to be here. The service we provide here at Meadow View is critical,” Baker said. “I love living here in Grass Valley. This is where I will stay.”

Huss' duties include the payroll of Meadow View's 130 employees, which includes administering employee benefits and scheduling of staff members. For the last five years, Huss was employed with the corporate office of Raley's Supermarkets, where he was responsible for the attendance systems for 136 of the Raley's stores.

“I wanted to come to work here because of the company's reputation,” Huss said. “I'm amazed at how well our employees are treated.”

Horizon West owns and operates 27 skilled nursing facilities in California and Utah.
