Barbara Benuzzi died Thursday, Sept. 2. She was 76.
According to her wishes, no service will be held.
She was born March 1, 1934, in Redding to Attison and Edith Rhoades.
She owned and operated the 5 Mile House and Fred Benuzzi Excavating for 30 years.
Mrs. Benuzzi enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughters, Pam Holloway and family, and Debra Benuzzi and family; sons, Brad Benuzzi and family, and Gary Benuzzi and family, all of Nevada City; sisters, Shirley Allison of Oregon and Charlotte Osborne of Grass Valley.
Mrs. Benuzzi was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Benuzzi; son, Ronald Pownall; sisters, Hazel Moltz of Texas, Belva Burroughs of Oregon, and Joan (Steele) Hathaway of Nevada City.
Arrangements are by Chapel of the Angels Mortuary and Crematory, Grass Valley.
