Delma Barbara Pardini has left this world and joined her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She died peacefully in her home in Grass Valley. She was 94.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Grass Valley. A graveside service and reception will follow.
She was born Dec. 27, 1915, in San Francisco, Calif., to Eugenia Reggiardo and Bartolomeo Oberti.
She attended schools in San Francisco where she later worked as a nurse. During her tenure as a nurse, she met the love of her life, Edward Joseph Pardini.
Upon their return to Grass Valley, they married, enjoying 45 years together and started a family, raising two sons, Edward Julian Pardini and David Pardini.
Mrs. Pardini was the embodiment of compassion, acutely aware of others' needs and always willing to help.
She was a devout Christian and faithful member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, taking walks, playing cards and billiards. She was an excellent cook whose recipes will be with the family for generations to come.
Mrs. Pardini is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Sandra Pardini, David's widow, Shirley Pardini, and granddaughter Nicole Pardini; grandson Jeff Pardini, his wife Erin and their children, Chelsea, Madison, Sophia and Grace; grandson, Kennan Pardini, his wife Lisa and their children, Connor and Christian; grandson, Jason Pardini, his wife Evie and their children, Andrew, Jacob and Joseph; granddaughter, Deborah, her husband David Caddy and their children, Isabella, Marabelle and Charlotte.
Mrs. Pardini was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Joseph Pardini Sr.; son, David Pardini; and sister, Esther Loveland.
