A 16-year-old Lake of the Pines girl was injured Wednesday night, reportedly while trying to stop a vehicle from rolling down a driveway.
Anna Paladini was trying to stop an unoccupied 1995 Toyote Camry at about 6:30 p.m. by reaching in through the window, said California Highway Patrol Officer Heather Blancarte.
“Somehow, she got entangled and the vehicle hit her,” Blancarte said, adding officers were still investigating the accident in the 11000 block of Lakeshore North.
Paladina reportedly was pinned by the Camry but witnesses were able to free her, Blancarte said.
The girl reportedly had no visible injuries but was complaining of pain. She was transported by helicopter to Sutter Rosevvile Medical Center.
