The Godfrey and Beahm families are proud to announce the engagement of their children, Heather Godfrey and Brian Beahm, last December at the Empire Mine Cottage.

The future bride is the daughter of Mark and Sabrina Godfrey of Nevada City. She is a 2000 graduate of Nevada Union High School and a 2004 graduate of Chico State and currently works as a teacher in the Pleasant Ridge School District.

The future groom is the son of Dusty and Nancy Beahm of Grass Valley. A 2003 graduate of Bear River High School and a 2007 graduate of Chico State, he currently works for the Nevada County Department of Agriculture.

The couple enjoys hiking, camping, kayaking and cooking together. The wedding is planned for Oct. 16 at Miller's Pond.
